Our crews position barges alongside ocean going vessels, manage rigging for oversized or irregular loads, and oversee communication with pilots, port control, customs, and shipping agents. Transfers are timed to match tide and berth availability, allowing large freight to move from inland terminals to global shipping routes without delay or added cost.
Breakbulk Barge ↔ Land Transfers
For overland delivery, FPE’s terminal enables fast transfers from barge to truck. Breakbulk cargo is lifted or rolled directly onto flatbeds and heavy-haul trailers. On-site equipment and staging areas allow crews to manage load securing, inspections, and permitting without off-site handling. This setup supports same-day transitions and connects your freight to final destinations across Western Canada and North-West Washington.
